Hugo Fernandes (b. 1985 New York, NY) is a New York City based visual artist. He is known for photographic work exploring intimacy and sexuality. He received his BFA in photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. 
Hugo’s photographs have been exhibited nationally and internationally including at Leslie Lohman Museum, Camera Club of New York, Jennifer Schwartz Gallery, Museum of New Art, Humble Arts, GLAAD, Aperture Gallery, and Galleria San Ludovico. He was the recipient of a Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation Award and a School of Visual Arts Scholarship. 
His work is part of permanent collections at the Kinsey Institute, Emory University’s MARBL Library, and at the Leslie Lohman Museum.
